RiteAid is rolling out the red carpet for the opening of their new store at 1195 Boblett Street today, Thursday, November 7, with a soft opening event geared toward just about everyone.
Prizes, raffles and a visit from the mayor at 11 a.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony are the hallmarks of the event, and there will even be free flu shots available.
“It’s a beautiful store,” said Mel Shahan, wellness ambassador for RiteAid. And even though the 16,000-square-foot edifice may be smaller than its predecessor in terms of square feet, Shahan said you can’t tell the difference. “It’s been really well designed, and we’ve expanded a lot of our options.”
Shahan said the store is pushing toward a concentrated focus on wellness. “It’s about getting well and staying healthy,” she said, and that they’ve created her position as a wellness ambassador to help clients find the products they need.
Two $50 gift cards will be given away at the event, as well as gift bags (as long as supplies last).
