It’s time to bring out the tinsel and the Christmas lights.
As part of Blaine’s Harbor Holiday Lights festivities, businesses and community groups are invited to express their holiday spirit by displaying a decorated tree downtown on the G Street Plaza.
“We’re going to line them up around the G Street Plaza. The city will secure them to the fence so they don’t blow over,” said Carroll Solomon, manager of the Blaine Visitor Center. “We’ll place a sign on each tree to signify who decorated each tree.”
The public will cast their vote for the best decorated tree during the week of December 7–14. A ballot box will be available at the lighting or people can stop by the visitor center to cast their vote. The decorator of the winning tree will receive a gift basket with goodies from local businesses. All trees need to be decorated and displayed by Friday, December 6.
Space is limited, so please contact Solomon at 360/332-4544 or Debbie Harger at 360/543-9982 by Sunday, December 1 in order to participate.
