December – what a wonderful month. Outside the weather may be cold and maybe even blustery, but truly in December we discover a heart of purest gold. December and its array of holidays brings us together and we can experience the warmth of caring friends, nutritious food, great fun and fellowship.

The many excellent programs at Blaine Senior Center provide awesome entertainment, valuable information and physical training – all of which are extremely important for abundant living. Make plans to visit to the center during this busy holiday month. Better to find warm friendly fellowship than brave the winter weather.

Be sure to attend the seventh annual Christmas Bazaar on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7, and enjoy the joyfulness of the season. There will be much to greet you – a cookie walk, raffles, products of many local artisans, friends, beautiful gifts, and even Santa himself on Saturday. You do not want to miss it.

Another interesting event is the AARP-sponsored Safe Driving Class on Friday, December 13. You don’t need to be a Blaine Senior Center member to participate in this life-saving program. It may even save you some money – check with your auto insurance company. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members.
