The Blaine Fine Arts Association will be hosting its 16th annual arts and jazz auction, dance and community celebration to benefit the Blaine school district’s art, band, choir and drama students.
The event will begin at 7 p.m., Saturday, January 25 in the Blaine High School cafeteria. Live and silent auctions will feature donations from local businesses and individuals, including art, getaways, gourmet dinners and goods and services. All funds raised will go to providing scholarships, equipment and funds for art experiences beyond the Blaine schools’ curriculum.
In 2013 more than $9,300 in donations were raised, allowing the Blaine Fine Arts Association to provide $3,000 in arts scholarships, replace pottery wheels in the art department, assist the drama department with expenses for performances and help the chamber choir and wind ensemble to travel to San Diego and Tokyo.
Admission is $5. To mail in donations, make checks payable to BFAA-Arts and Jazz and send to the Blaine Fine Arts Association at P.O. Box 1545, Blaine, Washington, 98231.
