Willard “Bill” L. Wilder, age 73 of Blaine went peacefully to heaven on Thursday, May 13, 2010, to be reunited with family members who have passed before him. It brings comfort to his family to know that he is no longer hurting, and that he will be keeping a close watch over his loved ones here on earth.
Bill was born on February 14, 1937 in Blaine to Willard and Marieta (Ridpath) Wilder. He attended school in Blaine, and married Kathryn “Kay” Wilson in Custer on September 19, 1957. Bill drove truck for the Blaine Marina for 35 years. He loved sports and was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bill loved traveling in his motor home, especially to Ft. Casey and Baker Lake. He was a good, kind-hearted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. The family thanks you for your continued prayers in their time of sorrow.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Bill Wilder; sister, Shirley Rozelle; brother, Jim Wilder; and his granddaughter, Emily Kathryn Wilder. He is survived by his wife, Kay Wilder; son, Bill Wilder, Jr. (Sharie); mother, Marieta Wilder Thompson; brother, Dick Wilder (Gail); sister, Doris Hawkins; grandchildren, Michale Kernan Wilder, Kassandra Seigman (Nathan) and Willard James Wilder; great-granddaughter, Ariyah Seigman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Greenacres Memorial Park.
