Arlene was born in Alamosa, Colorado to Arthur and Elizabeth Andrus on Jan. 17, 1931. Arlene moved to Blaine in 2006 to be close to her son and granddaughters. She enjoyed being involved with all of the activities of her granddaughters and could be found on the sidelines of every activity from sailing to gymnastics, horseback riding, unicycling, and school functions.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a local animal rescue organization including S.P.O.T. which is where they rescued their dog, Precious.
