She was further blessed with 11 great-grandchildren, her cat Patootie, her faithful neighbor Ken, and her longtime friend and beach walking buddy, Joanne Loomis.

Mom was a very talented artist. She drew on any medium she could find – including rocks. Her first love was family. She taught us how to love life, and see beauty in everything. She took a piece of each of our hearts with her, and filled the gap with her love, her laughter and her wisdom. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to come for an informal gathering at Semiahmoo Park between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cascade Christian Services, 1611 North State St, Bellingham, WA  98225-4602. This non-profit was near and dear to her heart because of the loving care they provide for her grandson and others.
