Jeanette M. Lytle: August 31, 1915 – October 24, 2011

Jeanette M. Lytle, age 96, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 in Bellingham. She was born August 31, 1915 in Springfield, IL to Bina Mae Collins and Raymond Maddy. Mrs. Lytle moved to Whatcom County to be near her family in 1988 after her retirement as administrative aide to the Dean of Fine Arts at the University of Illinois.

She was a member of the Whatcom County 3 Baha'i community, where she served as secretary of their adminis- trative body. She served as a volunteer for several organizations including Whatcom Community College and was active with golf, bridge, and bowling for many years. Until the age of 90 she lived in Blaine and was active at the senior centrer there. The last year and a half of her life she    was cared for with great kindness and love by the staff at the Woodway Inn where she lived. She was pre-deceased by her son John Mitchell, and her two sisters Eleanor Maddy Hill and Doris Maddy Rogerson.

She is survived by her daughter Kathleen Roesch of Surrey BC; grandsons Stefan Karlberg of Birch Bay, Michael (Anne Marie) Karlberg of Bellingham, David Roesch of Surrey BC and Jeremy (Kylee) Roesch of Maple Ridge, BC; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
