Mark graduated from Blaine High School in 1989. That summer he began his fishing career in Alaska and on the Washington coast, which lasted 20 years. He worked on the “Four Daughters” (Tom Millman), the “Delta Dawn” (Holy Hanson), the “St. Zita” (Bob Fisher), and the “Cornelia Marie,” (Phil Harris). He also lived in South Dakota working in construction, where he met the love of his life Michele Campbell.
While fishing on the “Cornelia Marie” on July 8, 2007, Mark suffered a tragic accident that ended his love of being on a boat on the Bering Sea and the Washington coast fishing for king crab and salmon. He loved being on wheel watch on a quiet night, watching the waves roll by and the stars shining brightly above. Every time he packed his duffle bag to leave, his dog Taz would get into the bag, wanting to go with him.
All his family and friends will miss his smiles, laughter, sense of humor, and big tender heart. We all love you.
Mark is survived by his mother Sandra Brown, brother, Mike Millman, sisters Lori Millman, Joan Bennett, Donna King, and Lara Squires. Uncle and aunt, Bob and Gert Jorissen and family, aunt Linda Petras and family, aunt Kathy Blodgett and family. Mark had six nieces, five nephews, one great nephew and many counsins. He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Millman and grandparents, Harry and Lil Jorissen, Aunt Marlene Jorissen, and grandparents, Fred and Margaret Anderson, father, Warren Anderson, and aunt Cindy Barkley.

A Celebration Life for Mark Robert Anderson will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 3 p.m. at the American Legion, 4580 Legion Drive, Birch Bay.
