Frank Lee Clifford, 75, of Blaine, WA, went to be with his Lord Sunday, May 27, 2012 peacefully at home with his wife of nearly 50 years. Born June 8, 1936 to Mary Sommers Clifford and Frank Lee Clifford in Houston, TX. After his mother died, he was adopted by his Uncle and Aunt, Harry and Minnie Clifford. He served in both the Army and Navy, then married Sandra Lee Clifford on June 8, 1962 and remained faithful to her for the remainder of his life.
Well loved and liked, he was a family man, known to let the grandkids fix his hair any way they chose. He had a great sense of humor (at least he thought he did), was hard working, loyal and loving, known as “PaPa” to all the kids whether related or not. Frank spent his time coaching or cheering on the family at every opportunity. Whether sports, shows, or award assemblies, if the kids or grandkids had something going on you could always find him there. He passed away at 1:30 a.m. after a fulfilling day surrounded by loved ones, comforted knowing Jesus as his Lord and that his future was in Heaven.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Mary & Frank Clifford, his adopted parents Harry and Minnie Clifford, brothers Harry Arnold & Leroy Clifford, and sister Henrietta.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Clifford, son Tony Clifford, daughter Michelle Statham (Shawn), sisters Sybill Smith and Thelma Jean, sister-in-law Deborah Perucca and nieces Katie Potter (Greg), Tara Hernandez (Javier); as well as grandchildren Bryce, Tanner and Rachel Clifford; Amanda, Caleb and Nicole Statham; Kayla, Evan and Grace Potter; Abby and Zoey Hernandez.
