Born to Ole and Mollie (Bergland) Slater in New Denver, B.C. Canada, Vivian's family moved to Blaine, WA when she was four.

Vivian attended Whitehorn Elementary and graduated from Blaine High School in 1936 as the salutatorian. In 1940, she 
moved to Washington D.C. and worked for the Flying Cadet Section of the Air Corps. She married Al Fosberg on April 3, 1941. Vivian was the secretary at Border Brokerage for 16 years. She was a member of Eastern Star for several years and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1978.

Vivian is survived by her son Frank Warner Fosberg (Sherry), grandchildren Corrina Milner (John), Nicole Senter and Kyle Fosberg, and four great grandsons.

Preceded in death by her son Rex and husband Al, Vivian will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her. She touched many lives during her time with us and will be greatly missed.

Family graveside services will be Friday, March 8. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2550 Thornton, Ferndale, on Saturday, March 9. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stafholt Good Samaritan Center or Bellingham Hospice.
