May
29: Residents in the 400 block of F Street complained
a female pounded on their door at 1:15 a.m. scaring the
cat who knocked over a $35 cake plate which was on display.
The plate was smashed. The residents requested that the
female be prosecuted.
May 28: Officers responded to the 1100 block of Mitchell
Street regarding a possible suicide attempt involving a
16-year-old female. Officers stood by until an ambulance
arrived.
May 28: Officers responded to a call in the 5300
block of Clover Court and discovered that a 75-year-old
resident had died from a heart attack. Two doctors were
present. Officers completed their investigation and the
coroner treated the death as natural.
May 27: A man who had become lost requested help
finding home. An officer located his home, and the man was
given a ride there.
May 27: Officers received a call of two people being
disorderly in a business in the 200 block of D Street. The
two intoxicated males were contacted as they left the business
and were about to drive away. The subjects were convinced
to walk home.
May 26: A person called to report an assault in progress
in the 600 block of C Street. Officers arrested a juvenile
suspect for attempting to choke his mother. The juvenile
was placed into juvenile detention.
May 26: A report of someone trying to steal money
from a donation box in the 500 block of Peace Portal Drive.
The owner of the box wanted to take the box. The business
will forward the money to the charity. The empty box was
given to the owner.
May 25: An officer responded to an aid call in the
1700 block of H Street where a woman was found unconscious.
She had just donated blood and had low blood pressure. Medics
attended to the woman.
May 25: Officers responded to an aid call in the
800 block of Alder Street. Officers arrived and assisted
the fire department. Medic personnel were unable to revive
the person. Officers stood by with the family until friends
arrived.
May 24: A resident complained that children are trespassing
on his posted property at 10th and D streets, and others
are dumping household trash. Officers will provide extra
patrol to the area and contact the individual who is suspected
of dumping trash.
May 24: An officer found a teenage male and teenage
female walking on a city street at 1:24 a.m. The pair admitted
that their families did not know where they were. The officer
took the pair into protective custody and released them
to parents.
May 24: An officer responded to the 800 block of
4th Street regarding a dog at large dragging its leash.
The dog was located, apprehended, and released to animal
control. The owner is unknown.
May 24: An individual was arrested in the 700 block
of Harrison Street for possession of stolen property.
May 23: An officers was dispatched to a business
in the 200 bloc k of D Street in reference to a person who
thought there was someone out to get him. Officers arrived
and found that the reporting person was intoxicated. A report
was taken for informational purposes.
May 23: An officer was advised of speeding vehicles
on Bayview Avenue. The complainant would like extra patrol
in the area. Officers will patrol the area and set up radar.
May 23: A motorist reported cars passing tractor
trailers on the shoulder of state route 543. Officers provided
high profile traffic patrol and the problem desisted.
May 23: An officer was advised of a possible harassment
situation that occurred in the 700 block of Boblett Street
between two juveniles. The school was notified of a potential
ongoing problem.
May 22: Officers responded to a 911 hang up call
with yelling in the background in the 1600 block of Runge
Avenue. Officers located a verbal domestic dispute in progress.
No assault. A female left to cool off.
May 22: A complaint was received regarding a possible
assault involving a seven year old boy which had taken place
at the primary school the day before. A report was taken
and is under investigation.
May 22: A complaint was received concerning the theft
of funds from a non-profit organization by its treasurer.
The complaint is under investigation.
May 22: An anonymous caller advised of illegal dumping
of cement in the 200 block of 6th Street. An officer located
a cement truck being cleaned out into a vegetation area
just west of the intersection at 6th and B. Charges pending.
May 21: Two Blaine residents got into an argument
over money and one assaulted the other. A Blaine officer
investigated the incident and cited the defendant into Blaine
Municipal Court.
May 21: A city employee discovered that someone had
spray painted graffiti on the pump house building and smashed
a light in Lincoln Park. The repairs are estimated at $1,000.
An investigation is in progress.
May 21: A resident in the 400 block of F Street phoned
police to report her neighbor dumping lawn clippings and
trash in her yard. Officers are attempting to contact the
neighbor to help resolve the issue.
