POLICE REPORTS
November
21: Officers responded to a verbal domestic in the 600
block of D Street and discovered a man who had been drinking.
The man was violating a no contact court order and was wanted
for FTA/DV assault. The man was taken into custody and cited
to Blaine court.
November 20: Officers were dispatched to a two car
non-injury accident at the intersection of Peace Portal
Drive and Marine Drive. On arrival, officers determined
cause of the accident and issued an infraction for failure
to stop at a light.
November 20: U.S. Border patrol reported a man in
possession of B.C. license plates. They were entered into
the law enforcement database as missing. An officer spoke
to the owner of the plates and learned she forgot them in
the mans vehicle.
November 20: A U.S. Customs inspector intercepted
a motorist smuggling drugs in his vehicle. The customs task
force investigated the incident. A Blaine officer cited
the driver for DWLS/R 3rd, no insurance and impounded the
vehicle.
November 19: An officer observed a vehicle whose
registered owner had a suspended drivers license.
Officers stopped the vehicle and confirmed the drivers
license was suspended. The driver was arrested and released.
The vehicle was impounded.
November 19: Officers received a report of a suspicious
male attempting to open a neighbors garage door in
the 1400 block of Bayview Street. The reporting party followed
the man down the street but lost sight of him prior to officers
arrival. No entry was made.
November 19: An officer stopped a car in the 1700
block of H Street after learning the registered owner was
suspended. She was cited for DWLS/R 3rd and no insurance.
The passenger was arrested and booked on felony and misdemeanor
warrants. The vehicle was impounded.
November 19: An officer stopped a vehicle for speeding
in the school zone. The driver had failed to obtain a Washington
driver s license after being a resident for 11 months.
The driver was cited for speeding, no insurance, and failure
to obtain a Washington license.
November 18: An officer provided back up for a deputy
investigating a complaint of an out of control teenager
in the 4800 block of Anderson Road. The boy had calmed down
when officers arrived. He will be placed in another home.
November 18: Officers received a report of a suspicious
suitcase at a business in the 1500 block of H Street. The
bags were impounded.
November 17: Officers were dispatched to the Resort
Semiahmoo for a disruptive customer. Officers contacted
the individual regarding the complaint. The customer promised
the staff he would not cause any more problems.
November 17: A citizen advised police of motorists
backing off the on ramp at mile post 276. Enforcement action
was taken.
November 17: Officers responded to an aid call in
the 1500 block of H Street. Officers stood by for aid units
and later transported the individual to the mission.
November 17: Officers responded to a noise complaint
in the 600 block of D Street. Officers determined it was
a domestic disturbance. One individual was transported to
his residence. No crime existed.
November 16: A Blaine resident was stopped for a
traffic violation during a DUI emphasis in the 8500 block
of Blaine Street. The driver was subsequently arrested for
DUI, processed, cited, and released to a relative.
November 16: A report was received of two juveniles
throwing something over the Mitchell Avenue overpass. Officers
were unable to locate the juveniles and cleared the freeway
of any debris.
November 16: A motorist will be issued a summons
for DWLS/R 3rd. This information was discovered during a
motor vehicle accident investigation that occurred.
November 16: An anonymous person reported two subjects
yelling at each other in the 1300 block of Peace Portal
Drive. Officers arrived, located both subjects, and determined
no crime existed.
