REPORTS
August
15: A resident in the 700 block of A Street reported
that a collection agency employee harassed her and used
profanity. An officer contacted the agency and advised them
of the complaint. No further police action was requested.
August 15: An officer checked on the welfare of two
children in the 300 block of Alder Street at the request
of a neighbor. The children were with their father and had
no complaints.
August 15: A parent in the 1500 block of D Street
reported that her son and two other juveniles entered her
bedroom without permission and took jewelry valued at $700,
U.S. coins valued at $100, and a book. An investigation
is in progress.
August 15: A resident in the 500 block of 11th Street
reported that a person who lives with her took prescription
drugs and $65 without permission. A suspect has been named.
Case under investigation.
August 14: A number of motorists complaining about
the train blocking Marine Drive for more than 25 minutes.
An engineer reported that Canada Customs would not allow
the train to proceed. The incident was documented.
August 14: A business in the 100 block of 14th Street
reported an employee who had just been terminated was threatening
to shoot someone. The employee said she had just been angry
at being let go. The employee and her spouse left the business
without incident.
August 14: Officer received an anonymous call regarding
the possible abuse of a bird. Officer checked the bird and
filed a report to be forwarded to another agency.
August 14: Officer assisted the Border Patrol in
the 100 block of Marine Drive by contacting a man who had
been hiding in the bushes along Semiahmoo Bay. The man was
a transient en route to his home in Alaska and was waiting
for a northbound freight.
August 13: Blaine Municipal Court requested that
police escort a person out of the courtroom and officers
did so. The person said he was upset because the judge would
not listen to him.
