March 15: Operators of a remote video surveillance system observed two subjects running southbound from the U.S./Canada border and entering a vehicle west of Sumas. U.S. Border Patrol agents responded and conducted a vehicle stop. Both subjects, one a citizen of India, and the other a citizen of Pakistan, were illegally present in the United States. The subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.

March 15: Agents encountered an individual covered in dirt and wearing a backpack near the U.S./Canada border west of Sumas. The subject, a citizen of Mexico illegally present in the United States, was placed under arrest and processed for removal. 

March 16: A remote video surveillance system operator observed five people illegally cross the U.S./Canada border in Blaine. Agents located the subjects, citizens of El Salvador illegally present in the United States. The subjects were placed under arrest and processed for removal.

March 17: Agents observed an individual walking southbound from the U.S./Canada border through a field near Sumas. The subject, a citizen of India illegally present in the United States, was placed under arrest and processed for removal.

March 20: Agents responded to a request for assistance from Skagit County Sheriff’s Department in Mount Vernon regarding the authenticity of an immigration document. Agents determined the subject, a citizen of Mexico, presented a fraudulent immigration document. The subject, illegally present in the U.S., was placed under arrest and processed for removal. 

March 29: A concerned citizen reported a suspicious individual near the U.S./Canada border in Blaine. Agents responded to the area and located the subject, a citizen of El Salvador illegally present in the United States. A records check indicated that the subject had been previously removed from the U.S. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.

April 2: Agents encountered a pair of camouflaged subjects carrying backpacks near the U.S./Canada border east of Sumas. When agents attempted to make contact with the pair, one subject fired a weapon and fled into the woods. The second subject, a citizen of Canada, was apprehended after a brief foot chase. The Canadian citizen was placed under arrest and processed for removal. The recovered backpacks contained 58.2 pounds of an amphetamine-based product determined to be ecstasy, which was processed for seizure. Subsequently, the second subject was later apprehended in Abbotsford, B.C., by the Abbotsford Police Department.

April 11: A citizen contacted agents after witnessing a person illegally cross the US./Canada border near Blaine. The subject, a citizen of the Republic of Georgia, was located and determined to be illegally present in the U.S. A records check indicated that the subject had been previously removed from the United States. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior order of removal.

April 15: A citizen reported a suspicious individual wearing wet and dirty clothing near the U.S./Canada border west of Sumas. Agents responded to the area and located the subject, a citizen of Israel, illegally present in the U.S. A records check indicated that the subject had been previously removed from the U.S. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
