Bianchi triumphs
Blaine tennis player Scott Bianchi won the boys 16A division at the junior tennis North Central Washington Championship at the Wenatchee Racquet and Athletic Club July 17 to 19.

Bianchi advanced to the semi-finals defeating Brandon Decamp of Wenatchee 6-4, 6-0. In the finals he faced Tyler Martin of Redmond and beat him 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.

C.J. Stauffer advanced to the semifinals in the 14A division by defeating Alex Smith of Seattle 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 in the quarterfinals. He lost his chance at the finals losing to Andrew Kastner of Redmond 6-1, 6-2 in the semifinals.

The tournament is part of the United States Tennis Association Pacific Northwest junior section. There were 190 boys and girls competing in the event.
