The Blaine girls’ basketball team defeated La Conner High School in a close matchup that saw La Conner pull within two points in the fourth quarter, but ultimately come up short against the Borderites. The final score was 42-37.

Alexis McElwain led the Borderites with 10 points, while Mandy Hayes had nine and Taylor V’Dovic added eight in the victory.

Blaine, now 2-1, headed to Bellingham to take on Meridian High School on Wednesday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m.
