Borderite boys enter losing streak
After losing a 53-51 nail-biter to Meridian High School on Tuesday, December 6, Blaine’s boys’ basketball team has entered an early-season losing streak. Tuesday’s two-point defeat marks the third consecutive loss by 4 points or fewer for the Borderites.
Borderite girls nab win over La Conner
The Blaine girls’ basketball team defeated La Conner High School in a close matchup that saw La Conner pull within two points in the fourth quarter, but ultimately come up short against the Borderites. The final score was 42-37.
Whatcom Rebels dominating the competition
There’s a new basketball club in town that has been dismantling other teams by as many as 44 points. They execute overwhelming half-court traps and drain three-pointers whenever they are left open. And none of them have entered middle school yet.

Height, defense key to Borderite win over Nooksack Valley
The Blaine boys’ basketball team hosted Nooksack Valley on Tuesday, November 29, in a season-opener that saw the Borderites limit the Pioneers to just 28 points in Blaine’s 50-28 victory.
