Blaine’s wrestling team continued its undefeated dual meet performance this season with a 48-20 win over the Sehome Mariners last Wednesday at Blaine.

Vastly improved shooting and passing helped Blaine’s girls’ basketball team to their first Northwest Conference win Tuesday night against the Trojans of Meridian high school.

Another loss, this time a difficult 60-51 thriller to Meridian Tuesday, January 25, would not merit such optimism, considering Blaine’s 2-14 record (0-9 in the Northwest conference).

Even as the starting line-up for the Blaine boy’s basketball team has been shuffled trying to find that right combination and rotation, fate dealt the Borderites another cruel blow.

Despite its best scoring performance of the season, Blaine’s high school girls’ basketball team was not able to hold onto to a six-point lead going into the last four minutes of Tuesday’s game and lost to Mount Vernon 61-58.
