Beach bash to offer beer, BBQ

A Beachside Beerfest and BBQ is making its inaugural debut at Semiahmoo Resort, Golf and Spa this month.

The day-long event will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Semiahmoo Resort’s Tent Pavilion and Peace Arch Pier.

Guests will be given a four-ounce tasting glass and 10 tokens to drink beer from Illuminati Brewing Company, Kulshan Brewing Company, Boundary Bay Brewery, Stone’s Throw Brewery and more. In addition to beer, resort staff will also serve up a barbecue dinner and will offer live music and games.

All proceeds from the event will go to Make.Shift, an all-ages nonprofit art and music space located in Bellingham. To attend, guests must be over the age of 21 and purchase a $40 ticket. Learn more about the event by visiting bit.ly/2rq8yVl.
