Blaine couple honored for “Communities Pulling Together”

Blaine mayor Harry Robinson, l., recognized Ron Snyder and Cathy Taggett for organizing “Communities Pulling Together,” an event that brought native canoe families from around the region to Birch Bay and Blaine on Labor Day weekend. Members of the Semiahmoo, Lummi and G’ana’k’w canoe families paddled in local waters, camped in Blaine and hosted traditional dances, potlatches and campfires.
