The most recent Canada Order In Council (OIC) has reverted to the previous rules, at least when it comes to children under the age of 12. Parents of kids who weren’t fully vaccinated and didn’t have a negative Covid-19 test were blindsided last month when CBSA started warning parents that those kids either needed to be fully vaccinated or provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test before they returned home to Canada. Before, that hadn’t been the case.
All is good now, or it will be, come 9 p.m. Sunday, April 24. The latest OIC now exempts children under 12 who are not fully vaccinated from quarantine requirements as long as they are accompanied by one of their parents, step-parents, guardians or tutors who they themselves meet the conditions for entering
Canada.
