Wednesday, December 20 is the final day to apply for a vacant at-large position on the Whatcom County Council. Last month, Todd Donovan announced he’ll be resigning from the position, effective January 8.
The term will run from the date of appointment, which is likely to take place on Tuesday, January 9, to the certification of the 2018 general election. Applicants must be a US citizen, resident and registered voter in Whatcom County and cannot simultaneously hold any other public office position.
To obtain an application, visit bit.ly/2Aep3X6 or stop by the Whatcom County Council office, located at 311 Grand Avenue, suite 105. Applications are due by noon on Wednesday, December 20.
