The Editor:

Blaine needs a lot of things (a decent grocery store, for one) but I think we have enough restaurants/coffee shops and mailbox stores. Don’t you?

The Editor:

We do very much need a new grocery store. Maybe many people would actually spend money on groceries in Blaine instead of going to Bellingham.

The Editor:

If we’re talking downtown area, we need stores that attract foot traffic, like a brewery, restaurant, and shops. More food trucks would be great too!

The Editor:

We need retail shops. There are only five retail shops in downtown Blaine: a weed store, flower shop, antique store and second hand shop and game shop. We do not need restaurants. There are 12 places to buy food, I am not counting the gas station or the liquor store.

The Editor:

I often shop at our grocery store. The staff are friendly and the management is making improvements. Also, we definitely need more restaurants, coffee shops, nail salons, barber shops, bookstores, specialty gift shops, etc. Why would anyone stop in Blaine with all the options in Bellingham?
