Two events in December are sure to bring joy to pet owners across Whatcom County.
Santa Paws Photos
For a $20 donation to the Whatcom Humane Society, you can get a 4-inch-by-6-inch print photo and digital file of your pet posing with Santa.
No appointments are necessary and photo shoots will take place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 at Mud Bay, which is located at 1022 Lakeway Drive in Bellingham.
Dogs must be on a leash and cats and other animals must be secured in a carrier.

Holiday Workshop
Kids between the ages of 9 and 12 can join a holiday-themed workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 15 at the Whatcom Humane Society, which is located at 2172 Division Street in Bellingham.
During the workshop, kids will create animal-themed gifts and crafts, learn about animals, make toys for shelter animals, meet special animal guests and presenters and munch on snacks and refreshments.
