Families are invited to stop by the Blaine Public Library this week to learn about the Girl Scouts of Western Washington at a Discovery event that will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 16.

Girl Scouts representatives will be on the scene to display crafts, offer cookies and conversation.  Parents can bring their girls aged kindergarten through 12th grade to learn about the organization, which has more than 25,000 members and 12,500 adult volunteers.

“From camping to robotics, come out and learn how Girl Scouts helps build girls of courage, confidence and character,” read a statement from the

organization.
