Volleyball loses but makes postseason
Blaine varsity volleyball lost its final regular season match 3–0 to Burlington-Edison in an October 25 away game. The Borderites finished the season with a, 8–6 record, which allowed them to skip the first round of playoff games and advance directly to the 2A District ½ tournament.
Next, Blaine plays Archbishop Murphy (7–9 overall) at 4 p.m. on Thursday, November 1 at Sammamish High School.
Soccer season ends in playoff loss
The Blaine girls varsity soccer team’s season came to a close in a 7–0 playoff loss against Burlington-Edison in an October 25 away game. Blaine finished the season with a 4–12–1 record overall and qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
