Lots to see at Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve

Rich in vegetation and wildlife, Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve, located south of Birch Bay State Park, is a place of discovery. The 54-acre reserve was donated to Whatcom County Parks by Whatcom Land Trust and contains forest, wetlands, shorelines and 2 miles of public beach. Flora includes orange honeysuckle, mouse-ear chickweed, Douglas’ aster, vine maple and more. Visitors can see shorebirds and seal pups near the beach and views of the Strait of Georgia and San Juan islands.
