Peace Portal Drive closes for construction

If you plan to take a trip to downtown Blaine this week, be aware that Peace Portal Drive, between G and H streets, is closed due to construction.

Public works director Ravyn Whitewolf said water and sewer lines are being installed by a private developer for a project located at 685 Peace Portal Drive.

While the work isn’t being handled by the city, she confirmed that construction is expected to be completed by the end of the week.

Owner Peter Gigante is in the process of constructing a three-story, 5,300-square-foot building at the site.
