Property owners are responsible for moving snow from their sidewalks, city says

Posted

If you’re a property owner in Blaine, it’s your responsibility to remove snow, ice and other debris from the sidewalk, according to a notice from the Blaine Public Works Department.

In case of snow, crews will be out removing snow from arterial roadways and from curbside catch basins. Residents are asked to report blocked drains and, if possible, help keep curbs and gutters clear.

“We want to make sure all residents are as safe as possible when traveling our streets and sidewalks this season,” said Blaine Public Works Department director Ravyn Whitewolf. “We appreciate everyone’s assistance, especially now as many of our staff are on leave for the holidays.”
