The community came together on December 31 to take part in the Ring of Fire and Hope in Birch Bay.
As part of the event, hosted by the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce, participants lined the bay and lit road flares as a symbol of peace and hope.
“It’s a visual representation of community spirit,” said executive director Douglas Bennion prior to the event.
