Salmon fishing season ending

Anglers in marine area 7 can fish for salmon until the end of the day on Sunday, September 30, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Marine area 7 encompasses the San Juan Islands and Bellingham Bay north to the Canadian border. In September, chinook, pink and sockeye salmon are the most popular fish to catch.
