Sardis Raptor Center teaches about birds of prey

Volunteers with the Sardis Raptor Center displayed six different birds of prey at Birch Bay State Park’s wildlife theater on July 21.

Participants learned about how to identify birds, anatomy of flight and a raptor’s role in the environment.

The Sardis Raptor Center is located at 7472 Valley View Road in Ferndale.
