High school mathletes from all across Washington will descend upon Blaine to test their math skills in a competition this Saturday.

On February 4, high school students in two divisions comprising two grades each will compete in math challenges that will test their mental math skills and their familiarity with geometry, algebra and other types of math. The competitions will be held in the Blaine high and middle school classrooms and culminate in an awards ceremony at 2 p.m. at the Blaine Performing Arts Center.

The Blaine school district and ConocoPhillips’ Ferndale Refinery have been hosting the Northwest High School Math Championship since 1993. For more information, contact Blaine High School teacher Mike Dahl at 360/820-3492.
