Whatcom County executive to speak at Birch Bay chamber meeting

Whatcom County executive Jack Louws will be the featured speaker at the next Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce meeting.

Louws will speak at the April 17 chamber meeting on the importance of Birch Bay in supporting tourism for Whatcom County, According to the Birch Bay Buzz Blog. The meeting will start at noon at Dee’s Country Diner, 4823 Alderson Road in Birch Bay.

Louws was elected to the county executive position last year after defeating state senator Doug Ericksen in the November 8 general election. Louws is the former mayor of Lynden and a Birch Bay resident.
