Blaine wind ensemble to sell pies to raise funds for Japan trip

The Blaine High School Wind Ensemble will be selling ice cream pies in an effort to raise funds for a 2013 band trip to Japan.

The high school wind ensemble will be selling ice cream pies, made with northwest strawberries and Edaleen Dairy cream, until June 21 to benefit the band’s 2013 trip to the Funabashi Music Festival in Japan. Pies will be sold for the suggested donation of $15.

Orders for the pies mist be placed by June 19. Orders can be placed by phone, mail or in person at the Blaine Gardeners Markets on Saturdays in June.

To order by mail, send a $15 check for each pie ordered made out to “BFAA-btj” to P.O. Box 1545, Blaine, WA, 9230. To order by phone, leave a name, phone number and number of pies ordered at 360/384-1634.

Pies can be picked up June 20 and June 21, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at The Blaine High School cafeteria. For more information, contact Dorita Gray at 360-384-1634.
