Officials at the BP Cherry Point refinery will test the facility’s fire alarm from 6 to 8 this evening.

The alarm will be tested starting this evening (Wednesday, August 22) to double check a recent update to the alarm system, BP Cherry Point Refinery spokesperson Mike Abendhoff said in a media release. Crews will activate the test alarm three times and follow it with an all-clear signal.

The test alarm will sound the same as it has in the past. For more information on the test, contact Abendhoff at 360-303-5278 or at
