The Birch Bay Water and Sewer District is holding a rain barrel workshop this Saturday, September 8, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
The workshop is free for Birch Bay residents, but limited to 15 households. Participants will learn about rainwater collection and its benefit to water supply and storm water management. Participants will also learn how to install and maintain a home rain barrel, and will take home a pre-drilled 55-gallon barrel.
The workshop will be held at the Birch Bay Water and Sewer District office, 7096 Point Whitehorn Road. Register online at bbwarm.whatcomcounty.org or call 715-7450, ext. 50787.
