Football

Archbishop Murphy shut out the Borderites 43–0 on October 4 in Everett. Archbishop Murphy scored 26 points in the second quarter alone and ended the first half ahead 33–0.

Blaine wide receiver Jaxon Kortlever led the Borderites on offense, making three receptions for 37 yards. Linebacker Gavino Rodriguez had two and a half tackles for loss and defensive lineman Wyatt Cole had two sacks.

Next, Blaine (1–4) hosts Sedro-Woolley (4–1) at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 11.

Soccer

Blaine girls varsity soccer suffered a couple losses over the past week, falling to Lakewood 3–0 on October 3 and to Sehome 5–2 on October 7. Blaine’s record is 4–5–1.

Next, Blaine travels to Mount Baker (0–11–0) on Thursday, October 10. Kick-off is at 4:30 p.m.
