Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office issues burn ban

Starting today, the Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office is imposing a ban on all open burning in unincorporated areas due to dry weather conditions until further notice. Yard debris, land clearing and recreational fires are all prohibited, but you can still use propane fire pits that don’t use solid wood to burn as well as propane and charcoal barbeques. Restrictions will be lifted once weather conditions improve.
