Barbara Marilyn Wood 79, of Blaine passed away peacefully on August 24 with her family by her side. She was born on July 20, 1936 in New Westminster, British Columbia to Walter and Barbara Scott.
A long time resident of Blaine, Barbara loved to travel and took many trips with her husband Troy to Alabama, California and Nevada. She loved to cook for her family on holidays and enjoyed spending the time together. She loved crafts, painting, sewing, and made a mean potato salad. Her interests included the Mariners, Seahawks, going to the casino, playing her many games on her iPad and taking care of her cat, Lilly.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Troy Wood, her parents, and brother Walter Scott. She is survived by daughter Michelle (Rob) Reed, son Gary McGee, stepdaughter Linda Stockton, grandchildren Caitlin Reed and Matthew Reed, great-grandchild Brian Reed, sisters Jean Duncan, Audrey Harrington, brothers Rod (Edna) Scott, Jim (Jean) Scott and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be dearly missed by her family and especially by her granddaughter Caitlin, who she was very proud of and shared a special bond with.
The family would like thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. At her request no services will be held.
