BP Cherry Point is hosting an open house to give members of the public an opportunity to get an up-close look at the refinery’s operations.
Refinery staff will offer tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, September 30 at the BP Recreation Area, about one mile south of the Jackson and Grandview roads intersection.
A presentation will teach attendees about the refining process before they can take a one-hour guided bus tour inside the refinery, according to the open house registration. Tours depart every 20 minutes from the recreation area. People can enjoy breakfast and coffee in the morning or lunch in the afternoon under the event’s tent.
Those interested in attending are encouraged to register early as space may fill up. The event will be held regardless of the weather.
