Blaine City Council voted unanimously to approve a petition to vacate the southern 20 feet of a right-of-way on Georgia Street, located between Mitchell and Garfield avenues.
The city is slated to receive additional property tax revenue as a result of the decision and utility improvements could be more expensive to the city if it has to move or replace the asphalt surface.
