Tennis

Girls varsity tennis lost 6–1 to Lakewood on April 19, 7–0 to Squalicum on April 20, 7–0 to Burlington-Edison on April 23 and 6–1 to Sedro-Woolley on April 24.

Blaine’s first singles player Sydney Feenstra played Blaine’s match of the week on April 19, beating her Lakewood opponent 6–1 in each of two sets.

Softball

Girls varsity softball lost to Sehome 19–2 on April 18, 15–0 to Ferndale on April 19, and 10–0 to Mount Baker on April 24. They play next at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at home against Anacortes.

Baseball

Boys varsity baseball lost to Anacortes 4–0 on April 18 and beat Lakewood 12–4 on April 20. They play next at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at Meridian.

Track

The Blaine boys and girls track and field teams each placed third out of five teams at the Whatcom County League Meet on April 20 at Meridian.

Blaine boys winners were: Dalton Mouw in 100 meters (11.39 seconds), 200 meters (23.57), and 400 (51.40); and Porter Schmidt in shot put (45 feet, 5.5 inches).

Blaine girls winners were: Rani Prasad in shot put (40 feet, 7 inches) and discus (106 feet, 10 inches); and Cassidy Condos and Gracie McPhail, who tied for first in pole vault (8 feet, 6 inches).

Boys golf

Blaine boys golf placed second out of seven teams at Loomis Trail on April 24.
