Soccer

Alieu Diaw led the Blaine boys varsity team to back-to-back wins with a pair of hat tricks last week.

He scored three goals in Blaine’s 5–0 win at Mount Baker on March 28 and three more in a 4–1 victory over Nooksack Valley on March 30.  The wins earned the Borderites a 4–2–2 record overall.

Blaine plays next at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 at Lynden (2–1–4).

Track

Blaine’s boys track and field team placed third behind Lynden Christian and Sedro-Woolley in a home meet on March 28.

The girls beat Lynden Christian and lost to Sedro-Woolley in the same meet.

Track and field teams compete at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the Birger Solberg Invitational tournament at Civic Stadium in Bellingham.

Tennis

Girls varsity tennis lost 6–1 to Lynden on March 28. They play next at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10 against Anacortes.
