The Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2 is now accepting grant applications for the coming year. Applications are due no later than November 30.
The grants are intended for projects or programs that promote recreation in Blaine and Birch Bay. Historically, playgrounds, youth programs, park upgrades and similar initiatives have received funding.
Last year, the district provided $41,500 to local organizations.
