Months-long investigation ends in Dahl Lane arrest

A two-month-long investigation concluded with the arrest of Atri Roy, 37, an individual suspected of selling heroin at his property on the 9400 block of Dahl Lane, located in Blaine. The Whatcom Gang and Drug Task Force led the investigation. According to police, undercover agents purchased drugs from Roy.

After obtaining a search warrant for the property, a SWAT team as well as members from the Whatcom Gang and Drug Task Force apprehended Roy along with other individuals located on the property on July 14, according to police. Roy was the only one to be taken to jail – the rest were released.

According to reports, Roy lived in a trailer on the property. Police found a firearm, but no large amounts of drugs or currency.

Appearing in Whatcom County Superior Court, Roy was arraigned on four counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, maintaining a residence for drug trafficking and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Roy pleaded not guilty on July 22. His trial is scheduled for October 2016.
