Eight roads in the Blaine area are in the midst of getting fresh coats of asphalt.
Led by Whatcom County Public Works, the repaving project began on May 1 and will last until Friday, May 5, weather permitting. From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., maintenance and operations teams will be out making repairs to Elderberry Lane, Oertel Drive, Drayton Harbor Road, Shintaffer Road, Anderson Road, Seafair Drive, Lincoln Road and Glendale Drive.
Drivers in the area are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
