Birch Bay residents have a new spot to shop. Just last week, the folks over at The Bridge at Birch Bay officially opened their new boutique for men, women and children. Located at 4815 Alderson Road, the shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Husband and wife team Lee and Rosemary Connors developed the concept for The Bridge at Birch Bay more than two years ago in hopes of creating a community hub for the area. Once complete, they hope to offer the community a learning center, counseling services and a bike repair shop, among other things.

“We want to be able to help people based on what their needs are,” said volunteer Bernida Flynn. “Our biggest dream is to help the community.”

The new boutique sells gently used and high-quality clothing at affordable prices. Jewelry, shoes and other accessories are also available for purchase.

Staff with The Bridge at Birch Bay regularly accept donations of gently used clothing and request that all items are laundered and in good repair. To donate, drop by the location from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday.
