The annual seaplane food bank drop will happen Saturday, June 8. The Emergency Volunteer Air Corp and DART airlift drill simulates emergency relief needs that can be anticipated in the wake of a natural disaster like an earthquake or catastrophic storm.
The organization is asking for donations to help purchase 30,000 pounds of food, which will be flown to food banks throughout Washington and Oregon. Any left over funds will be used to help feed volunteers or used in later exercises. To donate, go to bit.ly/3Kgspyy.
